### Beginning Google Maps Applications
During the summer of 2006, I worked closely with former We-Create colleagues Cam and Jeff to create this authoritative Google Maps reference tome. Since the book has been published, I’ve continued to present high-calibre tutorials and code on the book’s blog, such as how to [extend the built-in classes](http://googlemapsbook.com/2007/01/22/extending-gmarker/), how to [render shapefiles on Google Maps](http://googlemapsbook.com/2006/09/09/shapefile-tiles/), and how to [spider a page to create KML](http://googlemapsbook.com/2006/08/10/parks-kml-explanation/).

### Jello Liquid Layouts
In Spring 2005, I was contacted by Big John Gallant about doing an article for Position Is Everything. He’d seen, and been intrigued by, my piece on [Jello CSS layouts](http://uwmike.com/articles/2005/05/04/jello-liquid-layout/). My article/demo for P.I.E. was published that summer, and can be found [here](http://positioniseverything.net/articles/jello-expo.html).
